29/03/22, 10:39

Libéma Open is back after two years of absence. The international ATP/WTA tournament on the grass courts of Autotron ‘s-Hertogenbosch will be held this year from 4 to 12 June.

Corona threw a spanner in the works in both 2020 and 2021, but the international top tournament known for its combination of Brabant atmosphere, gastronomy and top tennis is back on the menu this year. After the hectic times of Roland Garros and Paris, the players always enjoy coming to green Rosmalen.

The first names will be announced at a later stage, but as has been the case since the start in 1990 of the men’s tournament and six years later the addition of the women’s tournament, the public will again be able to enjoy grass tennis at a high level.

The ATP tournament is preparing for its 31st edition. The WTA-tournament is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Amos Mansdorf was in 1990 the first winner of the official men’s tournament at the Autotron ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Libéma Open has been won four times by a Dutchman. Richard Krajicek was the best in 1994 and 1997. Sjeng Schalken lifted the trophy in 2002 and 2003. Adrian Mannarino was the last winner. The Frenchman took the men’s singles title in 2019.

The first women’s tournament in 1996 was won by Anke Huber. Michaëlla Krajicek is the only home-based player to win the women’s singles title. She won the title in 2006. The last edition in 2019 was won by Alison Riske. The American grass specialist defeated Kiki Bertens in an epic final match.

Libéma Open is a public event and will take place with 100% capacity for spectators and fans this year.

A visit to the international tennis tournament means a great day out for the whole family, business relations and groups of friends.
