Women’s Singles Draw: Lamens Aims for Revenge

The women’s singles draw has produced many fine matchups. Suzan Lamens will face Anastasia Potapova, someone she knows well. “At the Australian Open, I was well ahead against her but still lost the match. A nice opportunity to take revenge here at the Libéma Open.”

Last year’s champion Elise Mertens opens her title defense against Bianca Andreescu. The Canadian 2019 US Open champion played in the final here at the Autotron ‘s-Hertogenbosch two years ago.

Two-time champion Ekaterina Alexandrova is the top seed and has been paired with Hungary’s Panna Udvardy in the first round.

Second seed Clara Tauson faces 17-year-old Mia Pihankova. Former Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova takes on Mexican Renata Zarazua.

An American matchup features fourth seed Emma Navarro against Caty McNally.

The main draw will be completed with four qualifiers.
