Former Champion De Minaur Receives Libéma Open Wildcard

Libéma Open has added another big name to its player field. The international grass-court tournament, which will take place from June 6–14 at Autotron ’s-Hertogenbosch, has awarded a wildcard to world-class player Alex de Minaur.

The world No. 7 won the Brabant ATP 250 event in 2024 but was unable to defend his title last year due to a shoulder injury. This year, the 27-year-old Australian will have another opportunity to compete for the trophy.

De Minaur is enjoying a strong season. In February, he claimed the 11th title of his career by winning the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam. The Sydney native is currently ranked No. 7 in the world, one position below his career-high ranking of No. 6.

With De Minaur’s participation, Libéma Open will welcome no fewer than three Top 10 players. Felix Auger-Aliassime (ATP No. 5) and Daniil Medvedev (ATP No. 10) are also set to compete.

Other notable names on the entry list include Arthur Fils, Marin Cilic and Hubert Hurkacz. Dutch and Belgian representation comes from Tallon Griekspoor, Botic van de Zandschulp, Thijs Boogaard and Zizou Bergs.
