Grand Slam Champion and Wimbledon Finalist Cilic Heads to Libéma Open

Marin Cilic will participate in the Libéma Open. The Grand Slam champion is coming to the Autotron ‘s-Hertogenbosch for the third time.

The 37-year-old Cilic boasts an impressive CV. The Croatian reached the final at the highest level a remarkable 37 times, earning him 21 titles. His biggest victory came in 2014 in New York when he claimed the US Open title. He was also a finalist at Wimbledon (2017) and the Australian Open (2018).

In 2018, he reached third place in the world rankings. After a long injury layoff, Cilic had to start climbing the rankings again. He did so successfully back in the global top 50.

Cilic’s last appearance at the Libéma Open was in 2017, where he managed to reach the semi-finals.

Top 10 players Felix Auger-Aliassime and Daniil Medvedev have also confirmed their participation in the ATP 250 tournament. 2023 winner Tallon Griekspoor and 2025 finalist Zizou Bergs will also be on display on the Brabant grass courts.

Elise Mertens and Gabriel Diallo are the defending champions. The Belgian Mertens has already announced she will defend her WTA title. Suzan Lamens, ranked number one in the Netherlands, is also participating.
