Brouwer dominates in win over former winner Mannarino

Gijs Brouwer has reached the quarterfinals of Libéma Open for the first time in impressive fashion. The Dutch qualifier gave tournament winner of 2019 Adrian Mannarino the slip, with a 6-3 6-3 victory.

This puts Brouwer in his first quarterfinal on the ATP Tour in 2024. Meanwhile, counting his two qualifying wins, the tally stands at four wins this week for the Noord-Holland player. With a ranking of spot 21, Mannarino is also the highest ranked player Brouwer has beaten this season.

In the quarterfinals, Brouwer will meet another French opponent. That one comes from the duel between third seed Ugo Humbert and Arthur Fils.
