(2023) Thompson takes revenge on Mannarino

Jordan Thompson has made it to the semi-finals by winning over Adrian Mannarino. The Australian came back from a set deficit: 5-7 7-6(2) 6-2.

The pair faced off for the third time on the Brabant grass. The two previous encounters, in 2017 and in that 2019 final, were won by the left-handed Frenchman.

To reach his second final at the Autotron ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Thompson will have to face compatriot and tournament surprise Rinky Hijikata. The Australian lucky loser in turn came back from a set deficit to win over Mackenzie McDonald: 5-7 6-3 6-1.

Hijikata (22) is experiencing his ATP breakthrough this week. He reached a quarter-final at the highest level for the first time and even advanced to the last four.
