Felix Auger-Aliassime has qualified for the quarter-finals on his debut in Rosmalen. The number two of the ranking list eliminated Tallon Griekspoor in a remarkable manner.
Although Auger-Aliassime triumphed with 7-6(2) 7-6(5), the only two breakpoints in the match were in Griekspoor’s name. The Canadian served 13 aces, compared to only one for the Dutchman.
Auger-Aliassime, this year already the best on Dutch soil in Rotterdam, will play in the quarter-finals against the winner of the match between fifth seed Karen Khachanov and Kamil Majchrzak (ATP-81).
Defending champion Adrian Mannarino is back in form at this year’s Libéma Open. The Frenchman convincingly defeated fourth seed Alex de Minaur: 6-2 6-2. Mannarino, who has not lost a set in his two matches, meets Brandon Nakashima (ATP-64) in the quarter-finals. The twenty-year-old American defeated his compatriot Sam Querrey 7-6(4) 7-6(6).
