LO 2022: Lamens receives wildcard

Dutch champion Suzan Lamens has received a wildcard for the Libéma Open. The 22-year-old player from Berkel en Rodenrijs makes her debut from 4-12 June on the grass courts of Autotron ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

Lamens’ career has gained momentum this year. She made her debut on the WTA Tour in April, followed by a first selection to the TeamNL Billie Jean King Cup team. In May she came into action for the first time at Roland Garros. In June she will make her debut in the main tournament of the Libéma Open.

Lamens: ‘The year so far has only had highlights for me. I am also very happy and grateful that I may receive a wildcard for Libéma Open. I will do everything to show my best tennis.’

Demi Schuurs will compete in the women’s doubles. The winner of the doubles title in 2018 will play with her American partner Desirae Krawczyk. Together they won the major WTA tournament in Stuttgart this year.
