LO 2022: No fewer than five top-20 players

The Libéma Open has a very strong schedule for women this year. The WTA 250 tournament starts with no less than five players in the top-20 of the world rankings.

Olympic champion Belinda Bencic and Elise Mertens were among the first to confirm their participation. Now top-10 player Aryna Sabalenka join them. Danielle Collins played the final of the Australian Open this year. The American is the number nine of the world and would  make her debut in ‘s-Hertogenbosch but she withdrawn.

Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan and Roland Garrosfinalist of 2021 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova were the other players in the best twenty of the world but Pavlyuchenkova is injured and can not play.
