LO 2022: Belgian top player Mertens in action at Libéma Open

Elise Mertens, the Belgian number one in the women’s singles, has also confirmed her participation in the Libéma Open. The current world number 23 has won six WTA titles in her career and reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open.

All-rounder Mertens won the doubles title of Libéma Open together with Demi Schuurs in 2018. In addition, she has 14 doubles tournaments to her name. Last year, the 26-year-old Mertens led the world rankings in doubles.
