LO 2019 – Bertens quickly finishes postponed match against Rus

Kiki Bertens did not need much time to finish the postponed match of Thursday against Arantxa Rus. The duel was resumed at 7-5, 4-3 and 14-40 advantage for Bertens who used her third break point in that game. Then she finished the match: 7-5 6-3.

Bertens had a difficult start in the match between the two Dutch, she was on a surprising 5-1 disadvantage against the player with whom she often was part of the Fed Cup team. Rus did not use two set points and Bertens got away.

Bertens has a very busy schedule today at the Autotron. The world’s number four will play the quarter-finals against Natalia Vikhlyantseva and she also has a doubles match on her schedule. She and Demi Schuurs will play against the Spanish Georgina Garcia Perez and Fanny Stollar from Hungary.
