Haase to play 2017 finalist on centre court on Monday

Robin Haase will meet Ivo Karlovic on centre court on Monday. The match between Holland’s number one and last year’s finalist is scheduled as third competition in the stadium.

Haase and Karlovic met once before and that happened also on the grass court in Rosmalen. In 2015 the player from The Hague defeated the power server in a third set tiebreak.

When asked if he, the world’s number 44, would prepare differently for the match against the 2.11m long finalist of 2017, Haase answered: ‘I will not prepare myself any different than normal. The only thing will be, maybe, that my trainer will serve some balls standing on a chair for five minutes, but we normally do that anyway.’

The centre court’s programme will start at 11 am. The gates of the Autotron will open at 10 am.
