Smooth start for Zverev

Alexander Zverev reached the quarter finals without any problems. Adrian Mannarino was convincingly defeated with 6-2 6-3.

The German, second seeded, had a bye for the first round and played his first match on the Brabant grass on Wednesday, while Mannarino already defeated Jordan Thompson to get to the second round.

To reach the semifinal Zverev has to compete against a Frenchman. Title defender Nicolas Mahut and lucky loser Julien Benneteau will cross swords to decide who will go to the quarter final.
