Rus, Jankovic, Mahut and Griekspoor on centre court on Monday

The line-up for Monday’s matches on centre court is known.

Arantxa Rus will open the tournament at 11 am against sixth seeded Timea Babos. Rus, who entered with a wildcard, and the Hungarian player did not play against each other before. Babos is the world’s number 35 and has won two WTA titles.

Former number one Jelena Jankovic will play against a qualifier in the second match of the day. Following the ladies the men will have their turn on centre court. Three-time winner and title defender Nicolas Mahut will start his tournament against a player from the qualifications. This could be risky because the Frenchman won the title in 2013 and 2015 after he fought himself through the qualification rounds.

Tallon Griekspoor will finish the centre court’s programme. The Dutch player, who received a wildcard, is also playing against a qualifier.

The qualification tournament will finish this evening and then the opponents for Jankovic, Mahut and Griekspoor will be announced.
