Griekspoor not recovered in time from injury

Tallon Griekspoor has had to cancel his participation in Libéma Open (7-15 June). The winner of the 2023 ATP 250 tournament is suffering too much from his injury sustained in the fourth round at Roland Garros.

‘Hugely disappointed I have to withdraw from my home tournament, which is one of my favourite tournaments of the year. During Roland Garros, I sustained an injury which, despite doing everything possible to recover from it in time, unfortunately did not heal sufficiently to participate. After consulting the medical professionals, it is clear that playing next week is simply not possible,’ Griekspoor informed.

The number one of the Netherlands has indicated he will attend Libéma Open. ‘This tournament has a special place in my heart, especially after winning the title in 2023. I was really looking forward to coming back and competing again in front of the fantastic home crowd. I’m sorry to miss it. That said, I will be there to support the event and follow the action closely.’
