Arthur Fils has cancelled his participation in Libéma Open. The Frenchman has a back injury.
The 20-year-old Fils already had to miss out on the third round at Roland Garros last week. Fils is struggling with a stress fracture in his back. The world number 14 hopes to play matches again in four to six weeks.
Libéma Open organisers have promised Mees Röttgering a wildcard for the qualifying tournament. The 17-year-old Limburger was number one on the world junior ranking list early this year.
The left-handed Röttgering is making the switch from the juniors to the pro tour this season.
The qualifying tournament on the grass courts of Autotron ‘s-Hertogenbosch will be held on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June. The main tournament starts Whit Monday.
