Osaka, Griekspoor and Van Rijthoven in action on Monday and Tuesday

Libéma Open 2024 kicks off with a bang on the first few days of play, with a string of major champions from home and abroad in action.

On Monday, Tim van Rijthoven makes his long-awaited comeback. The home hero will play his first match on centre court since winning the title in 2022. Other familiar names on the programme on Monday include former US Open champion Bianca Andreescu and two-time defending champion Ekaterina Alexandrova.

Dutch input in the women’s event on Monday comes from Suzan Lamens, the country’s number two behind Arantxa Rus, who will start her campaign on the Brabant grass on Tuesday.

Botic van de Zandschulp and titleholder Tallon Griekspoor also appear on court on Tuesday, facing Mackenzie McDonald and Miomir Kecmanovic respectively. But that’s not all. What about four-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one Naomi Osaka and current world number five and first series leader Jessica Pegula?
