Injury keeps Gasquet from Rosmalen

Less good news for the Ricoh Open and the Dutch tennis fans. World number 12, Richard Gasquet, has withdrawn from the grass court tournament in Rosmalen due to an ankle injury.

The withdrawal was announced a few days after the Frenchman’s defeat in his first quarter-final at Roland Garros. The world’s number 2, Andy Murray, proved too strong for Gasquet in four sets.

The 29-year-old former world number seven would have made his appearance at the ATP 250 tournament in Brabant for the second time and for the first time since 2008.
