Highest rank ever for Bertens

Whether she wins or loses her quarter final match against Timea Bacszinszky, Kiki Bertens has already improved on her highest world ranking place.
In April 2013 she stood 41st in the world, but due to her victories at Roland Garros she will amply surpass this position. If she beats the Swiss number 8 of the qualifier list and reaches the semi final she will even jump into the world’s top 25.
Prize money -wise the 24-year-old from Wateringen is doing some excellent business too. Her wonderful spot within the last eight was worth a little less than 300,000 euros (294,000). If she beats Baczinszky another 200,000 will be added.
In the doubles, which ended in the quarter finals for Bertens, she shared 68,000 euros with her partner Johanna Larsson.
