Veronika Kudermetova made it to the quarterfinals in convincing fashion.

On Thursday, Kudermetova can see who will be her opponent when Caty McNally and Celine Naef, who beat Venus Williams in the first round, take on each other.

Ashlyn Krueger was surprisingly too strong for Victoria Azarenka in the first match on centre court. The 19-year-old American beat the number three seed 6-3 6-2.
