LO 2022: Griekspoor and Sabalenka in action on Whit Monday

At least Tallon Griekspoor and Aryna Sabalenka will play on centre court on the first day of the main tournament.

Griekspoor will take on Aljaz Bedene. The number two of the Netherlands and the 32-year old Slovenian have never met before. Griekspoor’s ranking of 58 is four spots off his highest ranking. Bedene was the global number 43 in 2018.

Sabalenka is a good player on grass. The hard-hitter achieved her best Grand Slam result last year. At Wimbledon she reached the semi-finals last year.

In her match against Kateryna Baindle, the top-seed is the big favourite, but a first match on grass is always exciting.
