Samsonova defends Libéma Open title in strong field of participants

The field of participants in women’s singles at Libéma Open is graced by two former champions, a finalist and up-and-coming players.
At the top of the list is Ekaterina Alexandrova. The world number 20 won the title in 2022 and 2023. Last year’s champion Liudmila Samsonova (WTA-21) comes to Brabant to defend her title.
Elise Mertens (WTA-24) is the third top-30 player to choose Libéma Open. The Belgian number one will make her seventh appearance.
Finalist in 2023 Veronika Kudermetova (WTA-50) is present along with her sister Polina Kudermetova (WTA-57).
Other big names in action include Grand Slam finalists Danielle Collins (WTA-35) and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (WTA-52).
Emerging players come in the form of Olga Danilovic (WTA-33), Anastasia Potapova (WTA-34), Elina Avanesyan (WTA-38) and Dayana Yastremska (WTA-45).
Dutch input comes from national number one Suzan Lamens (WTA-71).
The schedule consists of 32 players in total. The 22 directly admitted names will be supplemented later by four wildcards and six qualifiers.
