Tim van Rijthoven received a wildcard for Libéma Open.
In 2022, Van Rijthoven surprised friend and foe by winning the singles title. Back then, too, the Brabander entered with a wildcard. After his impressive tournament victory, he reached the fourth round at Wimbledon.
An elbow injury sidelined 27-year-old Van Rijthoven for a long time, preventing him from defending his title last year.
On his beloved grass at the Autotron ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Roosendaler will make his comeback on the tour after more than a year’s absence.
Besides Van Rijthoven, the men’s tournament can also count on the arrival of Dutchmen Tallon Griekspoor and Botic van de Zandschulp, Daniil Medvedev, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Alex de Minaur, Ugo Humbert and Tommy Paul.
In the doubles, Wesley Koolhof makes his last appearance in the Netherlands. The doubles specialist is in his last year on the tour and doubles with Nikola Mektic.
Koolhof won the doubles title in 2022 and last year alongside Neal Skupski.
