(2023) Griekspoor impressive to quarterfinal

Tallon Griekspoor has reached the last eight in dominant fashion.

The last remaining Dutchman in the singles eliminated Alexei Popyrin in exactly one hour: 6-3 6-2.

Griekspoor got off to a good start in both sets, immediately taking the service game from his Australian opponent. Popyrin was unable to create a break opportunity throughout the match. Griekspoor himself cashed in all three of his break points.

On Friday, Griekspoor will play a quarterfinal at Libéma Open for the first time. That could be against number four seed Alex de Minaur. Then the Australian still has to win against Laslo Djere from Serbia.
