(2023) Williams shines on fine list of participants at Libéma Open

It will be a big challenge for Ekaterina Alexandrova (WTA-22) to defend her title at Libéma Open. The tournament has a strong line-up with four players in the top 20.

Veronika Kudermetova (WTA-12) is the highest ranked player on the list. She is closely followed by Liudmila Samsonova (WTA-16) and two-time Grand Slam champion Victoria Azarenka (WTA-17) complete the trio of top-20 players.

Great Chinese talent Qinwen Zheng (WTA-21), Elise Mertens (WTA-26) and Petra Martic (WTA-28) are also among the favourites.

Other big names in action at the Autotron ‘s-Hertogenbosch are US Open champion Bianca Andreescu (WTA-31) and two-time quarter-finalist at Wimbledon Karolina Muchova (WTA-52). Former winner Alison Riske-Amritraj (WTA-84) and Venus Williams are also competing this year.

The playing schedule is further completed with six qualifiers and one Special Exempts.
