14/06/19, 15:23 | More on: Borna Coric, Cristian GarinThe first semi-finalist is a fact. Borna Coric reached the last four by coming back from one set disadvantage against Cristian Garin: 6-7(4) 6-3 7-6(6).
The first match on centre court took no less than 2,5 hours. Garin won the first set because he made less mistakes in the tie break. Second seed Coric balanced the score by winning the second set with two breaks.
In the decisive set Garin appeared to be heading towards victory. However, the Chilean seventh seed could not finish with a double break. Coric came back after a 5-2 disadvantage and again a tie break had to decide the winner. Garin was the first to force a match point, but Coric hit an ace. Then it was Goric who was only one point away from winning. A forehand in the net by Garin gave Goric a place in the semi-finals.
David Goffin or Adrian Mannarino will be his opponent for a place in the finale. The Belgian and left-handed Frenchman will play later this afternoon.
