Tsitsipas defeated by Jarry

Tsitsipas, the world’s number six from Greece, lost his first service and had difficulties to take the initiative against the hard hits of the 1.98 meter long Jarry. Nevertheless he won the second set using some acrobatics.
The match suddenly finished when first seeded Tsitsipas hit two double faults on 30-15 and couldn’t handle a strong return by Jarry at matchpoint.
The Chilean number 60 of the world will competed against the winner of the match between title defender Richard Gasquest and Mikhail Kukushkin.
Adrian Mannarino surprised everyone at court 1. He defeated fourth seed Fernando Verdasco. The Frenchman was one set behind but he came back: 1-6 6-3 6-4. David Goffin is the next opponent in the quarter-finals for the left-handed Mannarino.
