Haase loses to strong Chilean

Robin Haase did not succeed to beat Cristian Garin in the resumption of the match that had to be postponed on Wednesday. The Chilean came back from a disadvantage in the second set to win with 7-5 7-5.

When the match was postponed due to the weather conditions the player from The Hague still had a break advantage, but was not able to keep it today. Garin, seventh seed, will go to the quarter-final. He will meet second seed Borna Coric.

The Croatian, who received a wild card, won his second round match from the USA’s Taylor Fritz: 4-6 6-3 6-3.
