Flipkens takes revenge in repeat of 2018 final

The duel between Aleksandra Krunic and Kirsten Flipkens was one of the striking moments after the draw on Saturday. The duel is a repeat of the 2018 Final of the Libéma Open. However, this year it was Flipkens who took victory: 6-3 3-6 6-1.

The match between the unseeded Belgian and the Serbian was decided in three sets on court 1. Both like to play on grass, where their creativity blossoms.

Flipkens will continue her campaign against fourth seed Lesia Tsurenko. The Ukrainian defeated left-handed Kristyna Pliskova from the Czech Republic: 6-4 6-4.

Flipkens, who also reached the final in Rosmalen in 2013, won three out of the four previous meetings with Pliskova.
