Haase draws young Frenchman

Robin Haase’s campaign at the Libéma Open 2019 will start against left-handed Ugo Humbert. The 20 year old Frenchman is making his debut at the grass of Rosmalen. Haase is competing for the 12^th time in the main tournament.

“The Libéma Open again has a strong line-up with multiple good grass experts and players who are currently in top shape. It also offers a nice mixture of old and new generation players,” according to Holland’s number one. Humbert is a player from the ATP Next Gen division.

Changing from the clay of Roland Garros to the grass of ‘s-Hertogenbosch has become a familiar procedure for the 32 year old Haase. “On grass you should just play and not train too much, you have to use your intuition.”

First seed Stefanos Tsitsipas and second seed wild card player Borna Coric start the first round with a bye, while Thiemo de Bakker will also meet a left-handed Frenchman. The home player, who also received a wild card, will play Adrian Mannarino.
