Tsitsipas and McDonald receive wildcard

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Mackenzie McDonald have received a wildcard for the main schedule of the Libéma Open.

Tsitsipas is this season’s revelation. The 19-year-old Greek player has jumped no less that 160 places on the world ranking and currently takes 39^th position. His best performance was at the ATP tournament in Barcelona, where the likeable Tsitsipas was defeated by the world’s number one, Rafael Nadal, in the final.

The 23-year-old McDonald performed at his best at Challenger tournaments, but this year, he caused a sensation when he forced Grigor Dimitrov to a heavy five set match during the Australian Open. Currently McDonald takes 107^th position on the world rankings, but he only plays for two years in the tour. Previously the player from Miami was active in American college tennis.
