Gasquet reaches third round

Richard Gasquet has reached the third round at Roland Garros. The Frenchman defeated Malek Jaziri in four sets: 6-2 3-6 6-3 6-0.
The 31-year-old Gasquet is playing for the 15th time in the Grand Slam tournament in his home country. His best result was a place in the quarter-finals in 2016. Then Andy Murray defeated him in four sets.
This year the former world’s number 7 is seeded 27th at the second Grand Slam tournament of the year. Currently Gasquet takes 32nd position on the world ranking.
The winner of 14 ATP tournaments will probably play against Rafael Nadal in the third round, but then the tenfold Roland Garros champion has to defeat Guido Pella from Argentina first.
