Vikhlyantseva qualifies for her first WTA final

Natalia Vikhlyantseva is the first player to reach the final at the Ricoh Open. The 20-year-old Russian defeated Ana Konjuh in the first semifinal with 6-3 7-5.

The unseeded player Vikhlyantseva has reached the highest level in her career so far with this place in the final. Her no-nonsense way of playing and her powerful strokes and agressive baseline play works well for the world’s number 74.

Vikhlyantseva will meet seventh seed Lesia Tsurenko or Estonian Anett Kontaveit in the final. They will play later this Saturday.
