Kontaveit in three sets to final

Anett Kontaveit will meet Natalia Vikhlyantseva in the final of the Ricoh Open 2017. The unseeded player from Estonia defeated seventh seed Lesia Tsurenko with 6-3 6-7(0) 6-2.

The 21-year-old Kontaveit is accompanied by Dutchman Glen Schaap and fitness coach Floris Minnaert. The world’s number 49 will play for her first WTA-title. Earlier this year the Estonian player was defeated in the final of the WTA tournament in Biel.

Earlier today Vikhlyantseva defeated Ana Konjuh with 6-3 7-5. The 20-year-old Russian will also compete for her first WTA-title. It will be their first meeting.
