Hogenkamp misses out on victory

Fifth seed Ana Konjuh (WTA-33) was too strong for Richel Hogenkamp in a fierce battle at the Ricoh Open: 6-4 3-6 4-6.

In the second as well as in the third set Konjuh had to overcome a break. The Croatian ultimately won six out of the last seven games to secure her place in the quarter finals.

Evgeniya Rodina (WTA-80) will be the nex opponent for Konjuh. The Russian defeated qualifier Antonia Lottner (WTA-161) with 7-5 6-3.
