Doubles Koolhof/Middelkoop and Griekspoor/Pel closely lose out

The Dutch pair, who entered the tournament with a wildcard, was closely defeated by Santiago Gonzalez, doubles finalist at Roland Garros last week, and Adil Shamasdin. The result was 6-4 4-6 10-7 for the Mexican/Canadian duo.
Wesley Koolhof and Matwe Middelkoop did not succeed to make it to the last eight either. The Dutch doubles specialists could not match Daniel Nester and Fabrice Martin: 6-1 6-7 11-9.
Jean-Julien Rojer and his partner Horia Tecau, however, did go through to the last eight. Jonathan Eysseric and former doubles world number one Nicolas Mahut were defeated with 6-3 7-6.
To earn a spot in the semifinal, the Romanian/Dutch duo will have to deal with the Brazilian Andre Sa and the Australian Michael Venus, who won the doubles title at Roland Garros.
