Rus starts Rosmalen with great victory, Jankovic out
12/06/17, 13:58Arantxa Rus (WTA-183) has gratefully used her wildcard at the Ricoh Open. The home player impressively defeated sixth seeded Timea Babos (WTA-36) in three sets: 5-7 6-2 6-3.
The player from Monster, the Netherlands, opened the first day of the main schedule competition on centre court and she did not disappoint. After losing the first set, Rus managed to defeat the favorite Hungarian.

Rus competed in the main schedule at the Autotron in 2013. Four years later she has made a strong return. To reach the quarter final she must defeat Kazakh player Yaroslava Shvedova (WTA-47) or the Czeck qualifier and former top 60 player Andrea Hlavackova (WTA-531).
