Opelka dismisses Medvedev

Reilly Opelka has managed to qualify for the semi-finals at the expense of Daniil Medvedev. The American surprised first seed Medvedev in two tiebreaks: 7-6(5) 7-6(5).

Despite his success, Opelka also lost a match on the Brabant grass. In the qualifying tournament, he had to face Mark Lajal.

In the main tournament, the 2.11-metre American then managed to beat Jesper de Jong, Nicolas Jarry and Medvedev.

Opelka could face Lajal again in the semi-finals. The Estonian will first have to beat Zizou Bergs, who can count on a lot of support from the Belgian fans travelling with him.
