De Jong on Tuesday and Medvedev in action on Thursday under reserve

The programme for the next few days looks as follows, subject to change. Each day, seeded players will be in action including top seed Daniil Medvedev on Thursday.

Tuesday

Jesper de Jong will have to wait a little longer for a player from the qualifying tournament. As will Belgian hero Zizou Bergs. Fifth seed Hubert Hurkacz meets former winner Roberto Bautista Agut.

Suzan Lamens steps onto the court on Tuesday against a qualifier. Title holder Liudmila Samsonova will also be in action. Maria Sakkari meets Dutch Anouk Koevermans. Danielle Collins crosses swords with Belgium’s Greet Minnen. Two-time winner Ekaterina Alexandrova plays against a player from the qualification tournament.

Wednesday

Second-seeded Ugo Humbert has a bye and will start in the second round on Wednesday. The same goes for Karen Khachanov who can then meet Botic van de Zandschulp. However, the Dutchman will have to deal with Mattia Bellucci.

Thursday

Thursday it is Daniil Medvedev’s turn. The list leader has a bye in the first round and starts his title hunt. Fourth-seeded Alexei Popyrin will also be in action.
