Jannik Sinner has made an impressive start to his week in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, having received a late wildcard.

The Italian won 6-4 6-2 over Alexander Bublik, a player with seven ATP finals behind his name.

Being seeded second, Sinner had a bye in the first round and as a result of his first win, he is in the quarterfinals.

The world number nine will play Emil Ruusuvuori on Friday. The Finn won against Ugo Humbert after a duel of more than two and a half hours: 6-2 6-7(6) 6-4.
