De Minaur second top10 player to come to Libéma Open

Alex de Minaur is the second top10 player to have announced his arrival at Libéma Open. The world number ten follows current world number four Daniil Medvedev to the international grass tournament, to be held from 8-16 June in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

The 25-year-old De Minaur is having a strong season. He won his eighth career title in Acapulco and reached the final of the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam. In February, he climbed to number nine in the world rankings. In doing so, the Australian broke his personal best ranking.

Last year, De Minaur had to bow to later tournament winner Tallon Griekspoor in the quarterfinals. The Dutch titleholder is also in the tournament this year and will try to prolong his title.

The women’s tournament at least welcomes Belgian crowd favourite and world number one in doubles Elise Mertens.

More players will be announced in the coming period.
