Richard Gasquet has reached the final of the Libéma Open. The second seed was too strong for Bernard Tomic in three sets, 6-4 6-7(6) 6-2.
The Frenchman and the Australian play well on grass and the match had many long volleys.
Tomic qualified for the main event in Rosmalen throught the qualification tournament and won all five matches until the semi-final in straight sets. Gasquets is second seed and had to win ‘only’ two match to reach the semi-final.
The 31-year-old Gasquet qualified for his 30th final on the highest level after a nearly two hour match. The stylist lifted the winner’s trophy 14 times.
His opponent will be the winner of the semi-final match between compatriot Jeremy Chardy and Matthew Ebden from Australia.
