The first days of the Libéma Open were successful for the Dutch players. As a result, Robin Haase, Arantxa Rus and Bibiane Schoofs will play for a place in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
The Dutch trio will subsequently enter centre court from 11 am. Debutant Schoofs will open the match day against the agile and fast Aleksandra Krunic from Serbia. Rus will have to deal with the power hits of two-time Rosmalen winner CoCo Vandeweghe.
Robin Haase will meet the much-discussed Bernard Tomic. The Australian may ‘only’ be a qualifier, but he is a former Wimbledon quarter-finalist and a respected grass court player.
The dessert of the day has Spanish and Russian ingredients. Fernando Verdasco, who played at the Brabant grass for the first time 14 years ago, and Next-Gen player Daniil Medvedev will meet in the second round.
