Schuurs doubles with Mertens in Rosmalen

Demi Schuurs and Elise Mertens will play as a double during the doubles tournament in Rosmalen from 11 till 17 June.

Schuurs has been in top form the entire season and has reached her highest position ever in the world rankings. The 24-year-old doubles specialist is ranked 21^st on the global doubles ranking. Mertens is ranked 16^th in the singles ranking and 32^nd in the doubles ranking.

Schuurs won her third doubles’ title of the year at the big WTA tournament in Rome together with Ashleigh Barty. In Januari she and Kiki Bertens were best in Brisbane. One week after she won in Hobart with Mertens.

Last year Schuurs, whose brother plays with the Dutch soccer team Ajax, reached the doub Dutch Fed Cup players.
