Important visitor in Rosmalen

The chairman of the women’s tennis association WTA is orginally from Brabant and the 56-year-old from Eindhoven visited the Ricoh Open on Tuesday. Micky Lawler enjoyed her visit to the tournament which she knows since the early years.

‘I really wanted to see the event again. It is the family atmosphere that strikes me when I walk around. There are la lot of activities. You can watch tennis, but also play padel, and there is lots of good food and drinks. The facilities for the players are perfect. From the players’ lounge to the gym and the quality of the training courts.

The tournament has a very practical set up. The players have everything here that they need to prepare for Wimbledon. It is special for the spectators to see the players in between Roland Garros and Wimbledon.’
