Ladies’ qualification tournament with six top 100 players

Entries for the qualification tournament of the Ricoh Open are closed. In total 24 players will compete for one of the six places in the main schedule.

Highest ranked player is Madison Brengle (WTA-82). The 27-year-old American reached the semifinal last year,  in which fellow countrywoman CoCo Vandeweghe, who ultimately won the tournament, was too strong in two sets.

Kirsten Flipkens (WTA-89) is a regular competitor in Rosmalen. The 2013 finalist (defeated by Simona Halep) will again try to reach a spot in the main schedule through the qualifications. Camila Giorgi (WTA-99) is a former winner at the Autotron. The powerful player from Italy won the final battle against Belinda Bencic in 2015.

Another experienced player who will participate is Sara Errani (WTA-91). The 30-year-old Italian returns to the Brabant grass since her last performance in 2012. The same year Eranni also played in the final at Roland Garros.

The qualification tournament will start on Saturday 10 June. 20 players will qualify directly and four players will receive a wildcard.

The main schedule of the Ricoh Open starts on Monday 12 June. The final will be held on Sunday 18 June at the Autotron.
