Kiki Bertens is the first player to confirm her participation at the Lib\u00e9ma Open 2019. Holland\u2019s best tennis player will compete from 10 until 16 June at the combined WTA\/ATP tournament on the grass courts of Rosmalen.<\/p>
Bertens had a very successful season in 2018 with three tournament victories and qualification for the WTA Finals in Singapore. The 26-year-old from Wateringen, who reached the quarter finals at Wimbledon, entered the top 10 because of her good results. Bertens started the new tennis year as the world\u2019s number 9. A top 10 player can only compete at three category \u2018International\u2019 tournaments during the WTA season. One of these three will be the Lib\u00e9ma Open.<\/p>
\u2018Lib\u00e9ma Open is the only WTA tournament in the Netherlands. It is the only possibility for me to play in front of a home crowd. That makes it so special for me to come to Rosmalen.\u2019 <\/em><\/p> It will be Berten\u2019s seventh time to play in Rosmalen. Her best result was a spot in the semi-final in 2015. Last year she was defeated in the second round.<\/p> Lib\u00e9ma Open will be held from 10 until 16 June on the grass courts of the Autotron in Rosmalen. Richard Gasquet and Aleksandra Krunic are the current title defenders in the singles tournament.<\/p>
