As of this year the tournament will have a new name, \u2018Lib\u00e9ma Open\u2019. This marks the end of the name giving of the tournament by Ricoh Nederland during the last two years. Lib\u00e9ma, who is also the owner of Autotron, was one of the initiators of the tournament in 1989. Meanwhile Lib\u00e9ma has grown into one of the largest leisure companies in the Netherlands with over 20 locations and over 5 million visitors a year.<\/p>
In 2016 Ricoh Nederland was the main sponsor of the tournament for the first time. Due to a considerable restructuring in the organization, Ricoh already announced to not extend their main sponsorship. This gave the tournament organization enough time to find a new name giver.<\/p>
Marcel Hunze, tournament director: \u201cOf course, it is regrettable that the cooperation with Ricoh has come to an end, but we can look back on two great and successful editions and an excellent cooperation. We are happy that Lib\u00e9ma has linked its name to the tournament and we are looking forward to another great edition.\u201d<\/p>
Lib\u00e9ma Open will be held from 11 until 17 June at the grass courts of Autotron in Rosmalen. Traditionally the tournament is a combined ATP and WTA event.<\/p>
