The 25-year-old American was the strongest on the grass courts at the Autotron in 2014 and last year. These are the only two singles titles the semifinalist of the last Australian Open has to her name. Vandeweghe reached her highest position on the WTA ranking, 20<sup>th<\/sup>, this year.<\/p><p>Like Vandeweghe Nicolas Mahut had his major singles triumphs in Rosmalen. The French stylist and former world\u2019s doubles number one won the singles title no less than three times at the Ricoh Open (2013, 2015 and 2016). \u00a0Last year Mahut won the Final, which had to be postponed to Monday due to rain, by defeating Gilles Muller.<\/p><p>In addition to the title defenders the tournament organization was able to contract some other big names.
