The pair defeated the Belgian\/French team of Zizou Bergs and Arthur Rinderknech in the championship match with scores of 7-6(6), 7-6(5).<\/p><\/div><div class=\"content-visibility-auto\"><p>This marked the third final played together by Arends and Pel, resulting in their second title. Individually, it was Arends&#8217; sixth tournament victory and Pel&#8217;s second. The latter had reached the final at Wimbledon last year alongside Rinky Hijikata.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"content-visibility-auto\"><p>&#8220;This title is very special to win for the Dutch crowd,&#8221; the winners stated after the match. &#8220;When we won our first tournament together in Bastad in 2021, we had to go straight to the next one. We decided then that if we ever won another tournament, we would celebrate it properly, but now we also have to head straight to the next event again. That&#8217;s the life of a tennis player.&#8221;<\/p><\/div><div class=\"content-visibility-auto\"><p>On their way to the grand prize this year, they defeated two other all-Dutch pairs: Thijmen Loof\/Mick Veldheer and Botic van de Zandschulp\/Tallon Griekspoor.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"content-visibility-auto\"><p>The home players are the sixth all-Dutch duo to win the men&#8217;s doubles title, following Davids\/Haarhuis (1991), Noteboom\/Wibier (1994), Krajicek\/Siemerink (1995), Haarhuis\/Eltingh (1997), and Haarhuis\/Schalken (2001).<\/p><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>David Pel and Sander Arends have won the men&#8217;s doubles final.
